Creamy make-ahead oats loaded with protein and topped with your favorite fruits and nuts.

# What you need:

→ Base

01 - 1 cup rolled oats
02 - 1 1/4 cups milk or plant-based milk
03 - 1/2 cup Greek yogurt or dairy-free yogurt
04 - 1 scoop (about 30 g) vanilla protein powder
05 - 1 tbsp chia seeds
06 - 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
07 - 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
08 - Pinch of salt

→ Optional Toppings

09 - Fresh berries
10 - Sliced banana
11 - Chopped nuts
12 - Nut butter
13 - Shredded coconut

# Directions:

01 - In a medium bowl or mason jar, combine the rolled oats, milk, Greek yogurt, vanilla protein powder, chia seeds, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
02 - Cover the bowl or jar tightly and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight to allow the oats to soften and absorb the liquid.
03 - In the morning, give the oats a good stir. Add a splash of milk if a thinner consistency is desired.
04 - Top with fresh berries, sliced banana, chopped nuts, nut butter, or shredded coconut before serving.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The protein powder and Greek yogurt combo keeps you full until lunch without that midmorning crash that sends you raiding the snack drawer.
  • Everything comes together in about five minutes the night before, and you wake up to breakfast that is already done and waiting for you.
02 -
  • If you dump the protein powder in without stirring properly, you will end up with dry, chalky clumps that no amount of frantic mixing can fix the next morning.
  • These oats keep beautifully for up to three days in the refrigerator, so you can make a big batch on Sunday and grab jars through Wednesday without any loss in texture or flavor.
03 -
  • Layer your toppings at the very bottom of the jar before adding the oat mixture if you want a fun surprise waiting for you when you reach the last few spoonfuls.
  • Using slightly less liquid than you think you need is always better than using too much, because you can always stir in more milk in the morning but you cannot take it back out.
