# What you need:

→ Chicken

01 - 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
02 - 1 teaspoon salt
03 - ½ teaspoon black pepper
04 - 1 tablespoon olive oil

→ Jalapeño Peach Glaze

05 - 1 cup peach preserves or jam
06 - 2 tablespoons honey
07 - 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
08 - 1-2 fresh jalapeños, seeded and finely chopped
09 - 1 clove garlic, minced
10 - 1 teaspoon soy sauce
11 - ½ teaspoon smoked paprika

→ Garnish

12 - Fresh cilantro or parsley, chopped
13 - Sliced fresh jalapeños
14 - Peach slices

# Directions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 400°F.
02 - Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.
03 - Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove chicken and set aside on a plate.
04 - Reduce heat to medium. Add peach preserves, honey, apple cider vinegar, chopped jalapeños, garlic, soy sauce, and smoked paprika to the skillet. Stir constantly and simmer for 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
05 - Return chicken breasts to the skillet. Spoon glaze generously over each piece. Transfer skillet to preheated oven.
06 - Bake for 15-18 minutes until chicken is cooked through and internal temperature reaches 165°F.
07 - Remove from oven and let chicken rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh herbs, additional jalapeño slices, and peach slices if desired.
08 - Serve hot with rice, quinoa, or grilled vegetables.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The balance of sweet peach and spicy heat creates that addictive flavor you crave from restaurant dishes
  • Everything cooks in one skillet so cleanup is minimal
  • It looks impressive but comes together in under 40 minutes
02 -
  • Do not skip the searing step because it creates flavor compounds that baking alone cannot achieve
  • The sauce will thicken more as it cools so do not overreduce in the pan
  • Use an instant-read thermometer to avoid overcooking the chicken
03 -
  • Marinate the chicken in half the glaze for a few hours for deeper flavor penetration
  • Broil for the last 2 minutes if you want extra caramelization on top
